This is a rebrand of the emerging matcha cafe chain, Maiko Matcha Cafe. After comparing the brand to its competitors, it was determined that the brand needed an update to match the luxe feel of its products.

Their current logo's design is weak, and their brand equity is in need of some cohesion and aesthetic vision.
The company's current logo is cluttered; It's confusing to tell whether the name was "Premium Matcha Cafe Maiko" or just "Matcha Cafe Maiko". So I decided to strip the logo down to its very core elements: a simple wordmark accompanied by its kanji equivalent.
