Discovery

Competitive Analysis

The idea of the product came about when I had L’Sqie yogurt when I traveled to Canada. I was sad to see there wasn't a bottled grocery store equivalent in America, but I went to a restaurant that sold Yomie Yogurt, the same product but made fresh in-house. I researched other yogurt brands to see if I could fill a niche in the North American yogurt market.

Moodboard

Memorable. Adorable. Friendly.

Process

The Making of a Friendly Face.

"Yuru-chara" is a Japanese term for a mascot often used to represent brands, items, events, and ideas. They're known for their quirky, cute designs that are memorable to the viewer. I wanted to create a character that gave off that vibe. Meet Yooma the goat!

Process

The Logo

I used and modified the font Doughy to complement the bubbly, soft-rounded character I had just made.
